New classes will start on Monday 11th September 2023.

Aimed at both the actor with professional or previous training as well as those starting out, these classes will focus on the understanding and application of ‘Character Analysis’ - a technique developed by Yat Malgrem, and so will have an emphasis on working. 

Character analysis is a technique which involves understanding character types and is continuously used by actors such as Michael Fassbender and Tom Hardy.

In the term 1, we will understand what character analysis is and how to use it in order to boost our craft in differentiating character types. Here, we focus on how to understand these various character types and how to best execute them. 

In term 2, we will put our knowledge into practise and use character analysis in scenes of choice. 

In term 3, we will take things one step further and focus on audition technique. Here, a director will be invited and you will have the choice to film a showreel of your scene.
